This week we started talking about identity. We thought about what identity was to us. There are many aspects to your identity, some that you can see and some that you can’t. We also learned how to take notes. I’m am very interested in the book I just started, and am super excited to be reading and writing again. The book I just finished was about poetry and Mr. Schoenborn reads a poem every day and it really has inspired me to start writing my own poetry. I haven’t wrote any yet, but I want to start doing it, it’s such a great way to express your feelings. I like the way we were showed to take notes because it makes it a lot easier to go back and read through them. It was a little confusing at first but after it being explained it was easy to get started. The notes are really going to be helpful with the following projects and make taking notes in every other class so much easier. With identity there's a lot to learn from it. Identity isn’t just what we see on the outside of others. It also families traditions, and other things that we sometimes can’t see. I learned from the video that I watched that some people are very uncomfortable with their identity and wish they could change it. Many people want to change their identity. The video I watched was about Latinos. They are uncomfortable with their identity. A lot of people think they aren’t latinos just because they have lighter skin or big hair. But they should really express their identity because it is very unique and beautiful.
